Frosh Iftars

Ramadan is the Holy month of fasting in Islam. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset every day. Fasting is intended to teach Muslims patience and humility. It also serves as a method of uniting Muslims through the tradition of breaking fast while enjoying the great company of family and friends. Muslims increase their dose of worship during Ramadan by performing night Prayers (Taraweeh), giving out more charity(Sadaqah and Zakat), spending extra time reading the Quran, and doing more good to others. The Muslim Students' Association (MSA) is committed to creating a suitable environment for Students to practice all aspects of Islam on campus, including Ramadan break fasts (Iftars). For many years, MSA has provided Ramadan Iftars for Students at no other cost but gathering and spending time with each other while enjoying their Iftar. This year, Ramadan Iftars will run from August 30th to September 10th. A portion of Ramadan will be taking place during Carleton.s Fall Orientation program; we.re here to provide support throughout this period. For more information please visit MSA Carleton
