The major points of entrance To Ottawa are:
East - The 417 from Montreal, Cornwall, Prescott, Russell areas TransCanada highway 17 from Montreal, Orleans, Rockland The 417 and highway 17 merge just east of St. Laurent Blvd. From this point on until Kanata, highway 17 is referred to as the Queen's Way
West - Highway 17 from Pembroke, Arnprior, Renfrew area The 416 merges with the Queens Way (417/17) the 416 acts like a link between the 401 and highway 17 thus making it a popular route for people fro Southern Ontario.
South - The Airport Parkway. The Airport Parkway is Ottawa's main Thruway to the Airport. The Parkway then turns into Bronson Ave.
North - Interprovincial Bridges. Major points of entrance from Hull, Quebec.
