Tuesday brings your academic orientation to Carleton University
Engineering. Professor D. Bailey will head the session, with many guest
speakers who often include Engineering Graduates. Expect to be in class
from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; this may seem long, but the information provided
during this introduction is invaluable.

Groups will head over to the Mayfair, a local movie theatre we have booked
entirely for Engineering Frosh! Two movies with engineering themes will be
shown back to back in this vintage '20s theatre just a short walk from
Carleton's campus. For future trips to the Mayfair, Frosh in residence
can pick up RRRA cards which offer a one dollar discount on the already
cheap tickets.

|
Possible movies (yet to be selected) include Apollo 13, The Ghost in the
Darkness, Armageddan, or Deep Impact.

After the movies, when the cheering has died down, we’ll walk back to the
MacKenzie Engineering Quad around midnight. Frosh Movie Night is always
our most popular event, and packing a theatre with 500 of your closest
friends is an experience you don’t want to miss!
